The English Attack

Writer: Will OakleyWill Oakley

England's attack seems to be looking more and more exciting as games go by. Sancho is only going to keep growing, and if he does it at the rate he is currently at, he will end up being one of the worlds best. Sterling and Kane are going into their prime, whilst Rashford and Tammy Abraham have a lot to prove...

Whilst some people aren't a fan of Kane's play and say, "they're only penalties", there is no doubt that he is a serial goal scorer. With 32 goals in 45 apps for England, and currently holding the captain's armband. He is currently in his prime, and if he can keep up his form, he could be a big asset to England for the Euros. Tammy Abraham is also finding his feet in the Premier League, and being a 6"4 target man, he could be a direct back-up for the captain. Rashford and Callum Wilson can both play up top, and offer more pace and creativity than the two London strikers.

Sancho is really showing great form in the Bundesliga after moving from City to Dortmund. Sancho shows great skill, and being followed by all England fans, he scores for fun, and is a provider for his teammates. Sterling has silenced his doubters in the last couple of years, but still has a lot to prove, which will motivate him to do even better at the next few tournaments. Hudson-Odoi has been called up to the England team more recently, however I personally feel he lacks class to be near the starting XI for the England team. Rahsford on the other hand provides great cover for the wings, making him versatile across the front 3.

The number 10 role is looking good for England over these next few years. Grealish and Maddison will be looking to secure a starting XI place and they are both still young and have plenty of time to grow. Mason Mount is new on the Enland scene, and he will be looking for a place at least on the bench, alongside other playmakers such as Oxlade-Chamberlain, Harry Winks and Ross Barkley. And whilst we say "attack" that doesn't mean that we don't have goalscorers at the back such as the man mountain Maguire, or the free kick specialist Trent. The future of England's attack is definitely exciting. Just wait, goals will come...
